Geography
The Geography curriculum at George Tomlinson is designed to encourage the natural geographic curiosity of our children, by first exploring our local area and then using those same skills to be geographically curious about the wider world and our place in it.
Over the course of their time at George Tomlinson, the children will use the National Curriculum Geography strands:
Locational Knowledge;
Place Knowledge;
Human and Physical;
Skills and Fieldwork.
We ensure that through Geography, pupils are able to explore the relationship between the Earth and its people through the study of place, space and environment. In Geography, our children will learn the skills of understanding locational knowledge; how and where people fit into its overall structure.
