Liz Maloy-Jollands Parent Governor
I am delighted to continue my role of the past 2 years as Parent Governor at George Tomlinson Primary. I am passionate about helping young people to thrive in order to achieve their full potential through education, thus ensuring that all children have the best opportunities and experiences to succeed, whilst growing into responsible and caring individuals.
Alongside the all important core subjects, essential safeguarding and need for an overall school strategy, I really value creativity in all its forms, as well as a keen focus on wellbeing / positive mental health / diversity and inclusion - for all members of the school community.
My own child attended GTP for 7 years so I enjoyed experiencing the journey through the school and being involved wherever possible. I am very grateful for the enrichment / insight this brought. Finally, I bring natural curiosity and a desire for the school to further thrive alongside the experience gained from working as a professional wellbeing therapist / small business owner to this role.
